Planning Board Meeting 27 October at South Walton annex at 5PM. BCC meeting on 2 December time not announced yet on county web site. Walton County planning Dept has issued a report that recommends against these proposed changes as submitted by the developer.If approved as submitted by developer it would allow violations against the comp plan and LDC. It would change almost 40 year old definitions of open space instead of actually bringing the land into compliance. Developer was found non compliant about 9 months ago by the BCC. Will they now change the rules for the developer? Developer does not own any part of some parcels he is seeking change on. How does that work? BCC should demand compliance, this is the largest development in South Walton. If you can't make the largest comply, how can you expect the average citizen to?
