Per planning commission update by Dotty Nist in the Beach Breeze, The St. Joe Company is seeking final approval for 5,896 homes north of 98 between South Walton Commerce Park and Watersound Origins on 2,435.2 acres of mostly vacant land. Also included is 623,000 sf of non-residential, 375 hotel rooms, 168,000 sf of marina/recreation and 36 holes of golf.
These developments were included in the 121,000 acre Bay-Walton Sector Plan adopted into the Walton County Comprehensive Plan in 2015, and now entering the second stage which includes more detail (DSAP1).
