    WE NEED 20 NEW BEACH LIFEGUARDS FOR THE 2020 SEASON!!!

    Entry level pay: $14.50 per hour, up to $16.00, with USLA and/or EMT experience!!!!

    GET PAID TO WORK ON THE BEACH AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

    Full-time & Part-time schedule flexibility available.

    There are numerous additional opportunities to work Overtime shifts throughout the season.

    This is a seasonal position that does not offer a benefits package.

    Swim tryouts are on-going. You will need to submit your Driver’s license and social security card.

    Emergency Medical Responder / CPR Classes will commence in February and be conducted on-going on as needed basis for new hires.

    Our Season runs through October 31st.
    We will be continuously hiring throughout the season as needed.

    Position Requirements include:
    · At least 17 years of age
    · High school diploma
    · Able to work weekends and public holidays
    · In good physical condition
    · Possession of a valid driver's license
    · Complete a 500 meter swim in less than 10 minutes
    · Complete a 1.2 mile beach run in less than 11:30 minutes
    · Successful completion of background check and drug screen - paid for by SWFD.

    Upon employment, candidates must successfully complete the SWFD's
    · 40 Hour Open Water Lifeguard Orientation (USLA Curriculum),
    · 48 Hour Emergency Medical Responder
    · 4 Hour CPR Pro Course,
    · 8 Hour SWFD Orientation Training,
    · 4 hour VFIS ATV Operator Certification.
    104 Hours of training are provided at the District's expense.
    Those with previous USLA experience are paid a training wage of Florida's minimum wage of $8.25/hour for recertification requirements to be hired.
