Your SWFD has responded to four outside fires since yesterday afternoon.

We are strongly urging everyone in this area to avoid any outdoor burning.

Several counties in NW Florida including Walton county are experiencing drought like conditions.

One tiny spark or ember could be disastrous.

    For more information visit:
Current Wildfire Conditions / Wildland Fire / Florida Forest Service / Divisions & Offices / Home - Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services

Please share this information with others in our area and as always, call 9-1-1 ro report a wildfire.

Be safe and thank you for all you do SWFD. We have been in drought conditions for a while now. My grass got "crunchy" a week or so ago, now its just dead. Dont think my huge "Water Oak" is gonna make it either. Hopefully the squirrels forgot enough acorns for another one to grow in its place.
