South Walton County Mosquito Control District has a Part-Time spray position. The rate of pay is $13 per hour. The technician will generally be working late afternoon through early evening on an as-needed basis. Additionally, daytime hours may be available during which the part-time technician will work alongside another employee to conduct activities related to domestic inspections, mosquito trapping, arbovirus surveillance, and research projects. All training, PPE, and equipment are provided.
Part-time technicians are responsible for driving a district spray vehicle in congested areas, which may include residential areas, industrial signs, communities, subdivisions, and forested roadsides. Technicians must be able to use GPS and map, follow instructions, accurately report work activity, and safely conduct each spray mission.
