Unless something has changed since I last checked (which was a few years ago), anything under a 6-month rental is considered a short-term rental and requires you to collect tax. The State Department of Business and Professional Regulation has the details...Division of Hotels and Restaurants.
As the above post states anything under 6 months is due tax. I would double check though, call the County Clerks Office and ask for Joyce. She is in charge of bed tax and is incredibly helpful.

... and she will also tell you there is a huge difference between a six month rental and a six month plus one day rental. A six month rental requires you pay the bed tax.
