Awkward Oxen Improv Hour is a fun, interactive, and fast-paced comedy show that’s fun for groups of all ages. Join The REP’s improv troupe, The Awkward Oxen, as they play improv games, and make up scenes and songs on the spot based on audience suggestions. Free for all ages.

Columbina, Rosetta, Punchin, and Arlequino all let down their hair to tackle the tangled tale of Rapunzel. When Gottel the Witch (played by Rosetta, naturally) discovers the thief in her garden, she tricks him into exchanging his first born daughter for the salad he took. Full of witty fun, this commedia tale is a pure delight! This FREE performance of The Commedia Rapunzel is graciously sponsored by The Seaside Merchants.

Though the characters may be familiar, each of your favorite storybook fables is uproariously derailed in this adaptation of Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith’s quintessential children’s book of fractured fairy tales. Everything from “Chicken Little” to “The Gingerbread Man” gets a complete makeover. Fun music and witty narration accompany the likes of ineloquent giants, sassy barnyard animals, colossal cow pies, and enough stinky cheese to go around.
