The Spell Restaurant Group is hiring a full-time salaried Bookkeeper for its restaurant group (currently 7 locations and growing). The optimal person has a friendly forward thinking personality with understanding of and proficiency in QuickBooks, A/P and overall accounting functions. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required. Position requires a high degree of accuracy, organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism and confidentiality. Transitioning to Compeat software program for restaurants, in house training provided.
Responsibilities:
Process daily sales entries, A/P and journal entries
Pay vendor invoices in a timely manner
Work with vendors regarding invoice related issues
Process bi-weekly payroll with online payroll company
Calculate, prepare and pay monthly sales tax returns in timely fashion
Monitor bank accounts
Reconcile bank accounts monthly
Close out the month, prepare monthly reports for owner/management review
Ability to work with POS System (Restaurant Manager) and Microsoft Office
Create and maintain analytical reporting for each location
Provide clerical and admin support where needed (w9's, new hire paperwork, garnishments)
Other miscellaneous office duties
Strong Organizational skills a must
