IT'S A party at the Walton County Animal Shelter and YOU'RE invited! This Saturday, Jan. 3, we're having an Open House at our favorite shelter showcasing some amazing dogs who are ALL dreaming of sleeping at HOME Saturday night instead of back in their kennel.

Our adoption fee is just $55 and that includes spay or neuter, required shots, a heartworm test and Saturday only - ALL adoptions include a MICROCHIP! Many of our dogs are already vetted and can leave with their new family the same day.

We have small dogs and big dogs... puppies, youngsters, adults and seniors... lazy dogs and active dogs (and a few crazy fetchers). Every color and temperament you can imagine!

Can't adopt? Come anyway! We'd love to tell you more about how you can make a difference in the lives of shelter animals. We're always looking for volunteers (it's a blast!), foster families and transporters.

If you've never visited the Walton County Shelter, it's a great facility with a caring staff who really really wants to see every animal get a forever home. No, we aren't a no-kill shelter, but with YOUR help maybe we can change that.

The party starts at 10a.m. on Saturday and we'll be there until mid-afternoon. The address is 365 Triple G Road in Defuniak Springs, north of town out by the Sheriff's Office. Call the shelter for more information (850)892-8758 or Jennifer Allan Hagedorn at (850)356-2647.
