Walton County Public Works Current Road Closures - 8/19/2013

County Highway 30A has been closed to thru traffic in the area between County Highway 83 and County Highway 283. This closure is in response to a culvert failure at Big Redfish Lake. This closure effects thru traffic only. Public Works crews are onsite and will continue to monitor the road. Once the water recedes, crews will assess the damage and give a report on repair. This section of the road will be closed to through traffic until further notice.

Indian Creek Ranch Road is closed at the bridge. This closure only effects thru traffic.

Due to rainfall totals over the weekend we are experiencing localized flooding in a number of areas. Several roads throughout the county have standing water located on or in portions of the road. Most of these roads are passable however we request that the public use extreme caution when traveling in these areas.

Public Works crews are working to alleviate as many issues as possible at this time. We will continue to provide updates as the current situation warrants. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call 892-8108.
