I know several places to buy them new but I'm hoping to find used jars b/c I need quite a lot of them, hoping someone has a Granny who no longer "cans".

Canning jars
If you are unsuccessful with finding used canning jars, try either Thriftway Supermarket in DeFuniak Springs or Tate's Supermarket in Hartford, Alabama. Both places are really neat. Thriftway and Tate's are family owned. Tate's has everything under the sun and is worth the trip. The folks at Thriftway are just really sweet people.
