    :idontno:

Seems relatively quiet now. Did people come late and leave early?

The 4th landed on a Friday and most folks had to check out on Saturday. Typically the houses and larger condos rent week to week, Sat. check-in and Sat check-out. So most of the 4th crowd are gone and the usual family stuff is left.

I think it was every bit as busy as the last two years. The traffic was backed up almost to hwy 283 on July 5, as people were trying to leave.

Week of the 4th was very busy, but then I had to drive out to Miramar Beach for a dental appointment today, and I was surprised at how light the traffic seemed on 98.

Yes, mine was actually dated July 4th, as was the letter telling me to expect a check! Glad the computers were working on the holiday!

The 4th was really busy. Our neck of Seacrest was packed to the bursting point with visitors. After the July 4th visitors departed things became quieter than any time since Memorial Day. I am interested to see what the occupancy is like this evening after house turnover.

I always guage how many people are in Seagrove by the number of bikes in front of Butterfly. The less bikes, the more people in town.

Well, if stuff left on the beach is any indication, they've all gone home. It almost looks like fall at the Ramsgate walkover. One tent, one tent frame, one kayak. That's it.

Sorry, W. I fit the survey profile to a T. Stuck it in savings.

I guess Best Buy will have to sell that HDTV to someone else. :D

But I do think that the visitors that were here were spending far less money and were being ALOT more careful about their $$. Seemed to me that there were several families sharing bigger houses and not eating out as much and when they did eat out got totally offended when told that their party of 19 would only be getting one check. Seems that restaurants elsewhere dont have the rule about parties over 8 getting one check and a gratuity added to their bills. But then again I have never heard of calling an order in to be eaten at the restaurant in order to avoid a wait for a table. (Yep...was asked that gem of a question on several occasions last week.)

Assuming Butterfly owns the same number of bikes as in previous years, there were either...

-Less people opting to rent a bike
    -Less people here

'cause the lot didn't clear out like it useta...
