If the bad publicity to this point hasn't led them to drop the benefit, I doubt this will do the trick. They obviously believe they're above the fray.
They could really buck up and pay the county back.
Why pay it back? That would be admitting guilt for something that is not illegal. You may not agree with what was done or how it was done, but no one has shown where any of it was against the law. If they could say that, someone would have already made it to Tallahassee to file an ethics complaint. Go to a commission meeting and speak your peace and see what the commisioners have to say about it.
Okaloosa County is where the illegal stuff is, this is a tempest in a teapot.
