We Share the Beach Educational Series: SWFD Lifeguards
    Wednesday Nov 13 | 6:30pm
    Coastal Branch Library

Join us for our first session of the season in the We Share the Beaches educational series as we host South Walton Fire District Lifeguards.

This Wednesday night, November 13th, from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Coastal Branch Library located stars 437 Greenway Trail in Santa Rosa Beach.

SWFD Lifeguards will be on hand to describe their current team, equipment used, and 2019 beach statistics.

In addition, learn about the training required to become a member of this elite team and how they prepare future lifeguards through the Junior Lifeguard Program.

The team will discuss and demonstrate rescue techniques, demonstrate basic CPR, review what to do if caught in a rip current and answer your questions or concerns about open water safety.

This educational session is open to the public at no charge and children are invited to attend with their parents.

As residents who live along the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, this session will provide invaluable information for your family’s safety. Plan now and save the date. This is a night you won’t want to miss. We’ll be saving you a seat.

Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles host this educational series on various beach related topics throughout the year.
