The Coastal Branch Library, in conjunction with Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles, is set to host the first session of the season in the We Share The Beaches Educational Series. Join the South Walton Fire District Lifeguards on Wednesday, November 13th from 6:30PM - 7:30PM as they discuss and demonstrate rescue techniques, demonstrate basic CPR, teach you what to do if caught in a rip current and answer your questions or concerns about open water safety. This educational session is open to the public at no charge and children are invited to attend with their parents.

In addition, SWFD Lifeguards will describe their current team, equipment used, and 2019 beach statistics. Learn about the training required to become a member of this elite team and how they prepare future lifeguards through the Junior Lifeguard Program.

The library is located at 437 Greenway Trail off Hwy. 331 South. Follow South Walton Coastal Branch Library on Facebook for updates and events.
