What is the best type of fish for my new tank?

I recently purchased a 10 gallon tank, and I'm looking for energetic and bright fish that can handle being in a new tank that was filled with tap water even though conditioner was put in. Tropical fish are too much of a hassle. I don't mind if the fish are different kinds.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Before you do anything you should purchase a book on fresh water fish for a 10 gallon tank. There are several fish that do not do well with others and the fish aren't cheap. Good luck.

Guppies are pretty durable. and they're pretty.

Our dentist has a clown fish like Marlin from Finding Nemo. Our daughter (26) loves that movie. So do I. When we were in Sydney this summer, she looked for P. Sherman, 42, Wallaby Way, Sydney. Awwwww! So cute! There is no Wallaby Way in Sydney, although there is a street named Wallaby Close there.

I think that a clown fish would be a nice addition to your tank.
