Have a craving for grilled sardines.

Does anyone know a market in the Panhandle they stock them?

I remember from visiting Monterey, the photos of the sardine canneries there showed sardines that are really big compared to the usual tinned ones. Is this the fish you want? No, I haven't seen them in a seafood market here.

You could probably get Shrimpers or Goat Feathers to order them for you. You may have just as good of luck searching on the net.

Here's my best source: http://www.brownetrading.com/
They are a great company. A bit sporty in price.

Best grilled sardine salad I ever had was with pig knuckles and frisee at Martin Berasategui in San Sebastian, Spain. Tasty...............................

Ditto. They taste wonderful in Spain. But I think it's just like a lot of things on the menu over there. "Sardine" in American English might not be equivalent to the translation into English of the Spanish meaning of the word "sardine."

The pig knuckles? Grossed me out, but they actually are pretty good if you close your eyes.
