Update

The Witches are riding again to support CVHN on
Halloween with their 16th Witch Ride

Gulf Place, FL – The Witches of South Walton are set the host the 16th Annual Witch Ride presented by Pizza by the Sea, on Wednesday, October 31 to support the mission of local nonprofit, the Children’s Volunteer Health Network, or CVHN.

“When our founders started the ride in 2004, it was just three of them. It's hard to believe that we have grown to around 350 riders and many more followers,” said Stephen Brinker of the Witches of South Walton.

“Our little ride has inspired others around the US to start up rides of their own. We raised more than 15,000 dollars for CVHN. The rides elsewhere raise money for their own charities. It's great to see something as simple as riding a bike can help so many in need. ”

Those participating can bring their own bike or rent one from one of our Bike Rental Partners. All participants should be at the Gulf Place Amphitheater by 6 a.m. the morning of the ride.

The Witches will be leaving the Gulf Place Amphitheater at 7 a.m. sharp, heading west along 30A for about 1.5 miles before looping back for the Gathering Brunch shortly after 8 am. Ticketed riders can expect to enjoy a leisurely morning bike ride followed by brunch, which includes delicious food and beverages, the opportunity to win incredible raffle and silent auction items, and compete in our Best Dress, Most Witchy Cackle & Best Broom (bike) decor competitions.

Admittance to the event is limited to the first 350 to register for the event. Advanced Registration is open for the advanced fee of 50 dollars. A t-shirt & early raffle tickets are also available for purchase. If we reach the limit for brunch before the event, Day-of registration may be available for the ride only.

“We have participants come in town from all over the country, and every year, riders rave about how much fun this event is,” said Carol Stafford, a ride founder. “Nothing gets you in the spirit of Halloween like dressing as a witch and riding your bike down Highway 30A. We get lots of honks and give lots of cackles!”

To purchase your ride ticket visit www.WitchRide.com or to learn more about the Witches and our events, visit www.WitchesOfSouthWalton.com , Facebook, or Instagram.

Do they not go to the elementary schools anymore? That's what made it special for the local kids.
No but some of the kids probably see the witches riding along 30a. Too many witches on bikes to interfere with school traffic. Around 300 or so. Now it's a pretty big fundraiser for CVHN and the witches have a big time. I believe there are small groups of witches in other parts of town like Seaside.
