Gulf World, Gulf World Marine Institute, Diver’s Den and Keep PCB Beautiful are hosting a beach cleanup at the M.B. Miller County Pier on June 8th from 10 a.m. to noon. The cleanup is one of hundreds of events held around the globe in conjunction with “World Oceans Day.” The hosts invite the public to participate and encourage them to bring reusable gloves, buckets and reusable water bottles. Volunteers will receive giveaways plus raffle tickets good for a chance to win prizes from Gulf World, Diver’s Den and several other area attractions. Gulf World Marine Institute will also celebrate “World Oceans Day” by setting up educational booths, free kids’ activities and photo opportunities featuring colorful characters throughout the park.
