Panama City Beach has undergone a couple of dredge and fills of sand to replenish their beaches. The beaches are generally wide but have lost the fine, white sand characteristic of the Emerald Coast from Cape San Blas to Perdido Key, west of Pensacola. Pensacola Beach looks much the same as Panama City Beach. One benefit is the added number of small shells seen here, although many are broken there are some intact and all the pieces are beautiful.

One of many old motels that are now vacant on Panama City Beach. Those that haven’t been torn down to make way for high-rise condos hollowly await the same fate.
