A Little of Everything Fishy

May 21, 2013 by Larry Pentel

Like the title says...right now we have a little of all things fishy biting. The Jacks have remained strong and the Vermillion Snapper bite has been phenomenal since spring. There are still a few Cobias around, the Kings are sporadic, lots of Triggers - and while most are short there are a few great big ones as well. And day 'fore yesterday we caught the biggest Scamp I have seen up on the beach in years!

Here are a few pics from the past 10 days to prove the point.

Jacks, Vermillions & a big Trigger

Jacks, Kings, Vermillions

The perfect mixed bag.. lots more in the box

WooHoo!! Two Cobias , 3 Kings and a PILE of Bottom fish on a 4 hour

Part of a limit of Jacks

That's 30A real estate mogul Larry Davis and his crew with a 44 pound King!

These folks had never been and wanted to catch "something big" on a 3 hr. afternoon trip.

These guys made me promise to put 'em in the fishing report. They had a limit of Jacks and a great mess of Snappers.

The summer is here and the bite should stay hot... doing nothing but getting better up to the opening day of RED SNAPPER SEASON on June 1st. That's when it gets way easier for me!!!
