Elephant Walk of Sandestin Hires Tyler Hysom as Manager

Tyler Hysom is originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast and has been in the food and beverage industry since he was 16 years old. After vacationing in the Destin area since 2000, Hysom decided to make the move to the Emerald Coast in 2007.

Hysom graduated with a degree in hospitality management from the University of Southern Mississippi in the summer of 2010.  Throughout his previous work experience, Hysom has held multiple positions in the restaurant, lodging and gaming industry. He was last employed as an assistant sales manager for Woodstock furniture where he received several accolades and awards within the company.
 Hysom began his professional relationship with Elephant Walk owners Tom Rice and Wayne Lewis in 2007, when he joined the staff at Elephant Walk’s sister restaurant, Marlin Grill at the Village of Baytowne Wharf.
“I am elated over the opportunity to work for Tom and Wayne in a different capacity than before,” Hysom said. “I understand their working philosophy and professionalism and look forward to continuing this philosophy at Elephant Walk.”
