Inaugural CVHN Smile Mile & 5K May 20

April 27, 2017 by SoWal Staff

Grab your stroller, wrangle up coworkers, friends, and family and join us in supporting Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) for their Inaugural Smile Mile and 5K race at Watercolor on May 20th.

"This fun-for-all event will help raise awareness and funds that will directly affect the health and well-being of kids right here in our own backyard. Many people don’t realize the large number of children living in our community who have nowhere to turn for medical, dental and vision care.” says Zach Billingsley, chief executive officer of CVHN.

Great prizes including a 2 night stay at WaterColor Inn! The largest team will win a beach bonfire donated by Live Well 30A, and more exciting prizes.

Registration fee increases May 1st, so be sure to register today.

All proceeds go to Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) which spends 94 cents of every dollar on programs that help local kids in need through three major programs:
1. Mobile Dental Clinic visiting local schools and other spots.
2. Network of volunteer providers.
3. CVHN Dental Clinic located in SoWal.

CVHN has facilitated more than 73,000 procedures for more than 16,000 local children. The value of services is over $5 million which were provided free to families in need. The race begins and ends in the spectacular town of WaterColor. Post-race fun includes face painting, live music and fun for all ages.

Lots of great prizes including a two-night stay at WaterColor Inn! The biggest team will win a beach bonfire donated by Live Well 30A.

FUN Starts on Friday, May 19 - The CVHN Birthday Bash and Official Race Package Pick Up is a pre-race event you won't want to miss! Come celebrate with live music & food. Hosted at the  Grayton Beer Taproom from 6 to 9 pm. Click to see details on Facebook and let us know you are coming - please share and invite friends!
