April 23, 2013 by SoWal Staff

Bud & Alley’s wraps up the Spring 2013 Music Series this Friday, April 26 with Jennifer Steele performing songs of Patsy Cline. Most of us know Jennifer as the Executive Director of the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) and a producer of the ArtsQuest Fine Arts & Music Festival and 30A Songwriters Festival. She was also a co-founder of the Seaside Repertory Theatre and served as the company’s Managing Director for seven years before joining the CAA.

What folks may not know is that she is also a seasoned performer. She played the title role in the Seaside REP’s production of Always...Patsy Cline. Other previous stage roles include Germaine in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Isabel in The Fisherman and His Wife, Meg in Crimes of the Heart, Ophelia in Hamlet, Belinda in Man of Mode, Annie Kate in The Dream Jar (premiere), Mrs. Webb in Our Town and Cathy in The Last Five Years.

Here’s your chance to see Jennifer in a purely musical context with a full band, featuring Jim Garrett on piano, Bill Garrett on guitar, Lisa Steeno on bass and Dick Reinlie on drums. They’ll be playing all your favorite Patsy Cline songs.

Doors open at 4pm, opening act at 4:30pm, and Jennifer goes on at 5pm. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 day of the show. Purchase tickets at ticket alternative HERE, at Central Square Records in Seaside or at Bud & Alley’s.
