Sacred Heart to Host 2nd Annual Children’s Health Fair on April 21

April 3, 2012 by SoWal Staff

Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast will host its 2nd Annual Children’s Health Fair on Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at North Park Lawn in Grand Boulevard.

Area families are invited to take advantage of free pediatric health screenings, such as spirometry screenings for asthma, hearing, vision, blood pressure, height, weight and BMI. Attendees will also have an opportunity to talk to the hospital’s health professionals and representatives from more than a dozen community agencies, including Healthy Start, Walton County Health Department, Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation, Children’s Advocacy Center and the South Walton Fire Department.

In addition to health information, kids will enjoy face painting, the AirHeart Regional Air Ambulance and an art project with Abrakadoodle. With giveaways, prizes, screenings and great community resources, the Children’s Health Fair promises fun for all ages!

This year’s health fair will also feature a special teddy bear clinic to mend your child’s beloved stuffed animals. Nemours Children's Clinic welcomes children of all ages to bring their torn, ripped and loved-worn furry friends to the Teddy Bear Clinic. Nemours staff members will mend your child's "injured" loved one in efforts to help them become more comfortable with medical checkups.

Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast is a 58-bed hospital located just east of Destin in Miramar Beach.
