SoWal Insider Tips for Inlet Beach

The east end of South Walton has some of the best local secrets. Some people never venture  beyond the stunning new urban town of Rosemary Beach on Scenic 30A. They don't know what they're missing. Here are a few Insider tips from the staff.

One of South Walton's finest (and the largest) beach accesses is on South Orange Street with 3 walkovers, restrooms and beautiful rolling dunes. Inlet Beach Access has a lifeguard station during peak season. See video below.

Check out the remnants of the old pier on the beach on the eastern edge of Inlet Beach at Camp Helen State Park - an awesome spot for photos.

Camp Helen State Park is a place chock full of history and has many great events throughout the year for families. Be sure to keep an eye on the SoWal Events Calendar!

Inlet Beach Insider scoop! - the Donut Hole will soon open a new location in Inlet Beach. It's sure to be just as popular as the current locations.

The Camp Helen Ghost Tour and Tales around Halloween time is a scary good time for kids of all ages.

Lake Powell is larger than most coastal dune lakes in South Walton and has outstanding fishing. Take out a YOLO Board or a kayak and paddle all the way to the gulf.

Did you know? Scenic 30A ends where Inlet Beach begins, making parts of the town very quiet and laid back. If you're staying at Inlet Beach it's an easy walk or bike to all the dining and shopping of Rosemary Beach.

Shades at the Loop is a popular place for happy hour and a great place to watch a game. It relocated from Seaside a number of years ago and is very popular with the locals.

The Terrace restaurant is a long-time locals' favorite for a romantic dinner. It's a SoWal hidden gem right in plain view on the north side of Hwy 98.

The county lake access on Lake Powell is a great spot for a bit of fishing or launching a kayak.

Inlet Beach has a lot to offer if you know where to look. It's right up against the border with Bay County and Panama City Beach. Just across Lake Powell there's a Publix and CVS Pharmacy (think mini Walmart).
