SoWal.com has partnered with The South Walton Tourist Development Council (TDC) to bring visitors the inside scoop about South Walton, Florida. The partnership encompasses sharing of original content, co-marketing and display advertising with the intent of bringing more visitors to South Walton.
"We're happy to find new and exciting ways to spread the word about our beautiful beaches and have always enjoyed working with the folks at the TDC," said Kurt Lischka, publisher of SoWal.com. "Most of the visitors to our site are from outside the area and we love showing off our beaches. Our mission includes helping local businesses improve their bottom line and this partnership will surely help us do that."
The agreement also extends to SoWal’s “Beach Like a Local” and “You’re So SoWal If” programs, focusing on insider tips, area happenings, ratings and reviews. The campaigns highlight top spots for dining, shopping and other activities based on local recommendations and visitor input. Look for “Beach Like a Local” stickers available soon at various locations in South Walton.
“VisitSouthWalton.com provides potential vacationers all the information they need to plan their perfect trip,” said Dawn Moliterno, South Walton TDC executive director. “Working with SoWal.com will give them even more unique information, from a local’s perspective.”
In addition to nine live beachcams, the SoWal website features original photos, videos, and articles, as well as guides for beach accesses, shopping, dining, ecotourism, beach safety, and more.
“We've always tried to cover everything a visitor might want to know about,” said Lischka. “the same essential info we want when we're planning our own vacations. Where are the best places to stay and to eat? What do the locals like to do and what do they know?”
Further cooperation between the two organizations is planned for the future. SoWal.com will soon launch a redesigned website with contributions from local artists, writers, photographers, and videographers covering all that is uniquely South Walton.
