Time to Fly at Skydive Live

September 24, 2013 by Jill Tanner

Most likely you have dreamed about flying at some point in your life - soaring through the sky miles above Earth with the wind in your face and a smile you can't wipe off. Dreams come true at Skydive Live - just a hop, skip, and a jump from South Walton. Imagine being two miles above the ground and taking flight like a bird into the blue sky. Skydiving is one of those life experiences that you will never forget. So what are you waiting for? It's go time!

Skydive Live isn't just for the brave at heart. The working agritourism farm offers activities the whole family can enjoy. Let the kids join in the fun on the farm. Each year 500-600 bales of hay are cut, dried, and baled on the 284-acre farm and the staff will teach you about the process. When the honey is “robbed” from the five busy beehives, it's prepared for jarring and then for sale. Skydive Live is very kid friendly and the team welcomes all to come out and take advantage of it! There’s always a grill going during lunchtime, so bring something yummy to grill up. You can bet there will be a fun crowd hanging out in the hangar, talking about their jumps and getting pumped about the jump that day.
Skydive Live is the perfect day trip adventure from South Walton, whether you are a local or just visiting. Bring a group of friends or the whole family to Skydive Live in DeFuniak Springs, FL (just an hour or so north of South Walton beaches) and have an experience of a lifetime.

Skydive Live is the closest drop zone to the Beaches of South Walton, Fort Rucker, Eglin AFB, Destin, and Fort Walton Beach and the most family friendly drop zone in the panhandle of Florida. Skydive Live provides a fun, safe, entertaining place for your children, and all visitors are treated like family. Jim and Melanie Nipper, the owners of Skydive Live, built the hangar, maintain the farm, and look forward to sharing what they have with the community.

Recently, the staff spent a day at Skydive Live. Those who jumped had the thrill of a lifetime and the others were content hanging around the farm. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed eating and talking with the other jumpers. recommends Skydive Live as a great day trip full of laughter and adventure for everyone.
