August 2014 closes out the summer with pending sales on single family homes jumping 45% over the same month last year. The number of closed sales was up 18% overall, and new listings are up 43%.

It's always a great party and it's for a great cause - raising funds every year for one of our favorite local organizations - Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN). They see to it that all children in our area receive needed medical and dental care. We're thrilled Bud & Alley’s will be hosting the 10th Annual Hurricane Party again this year. The Hurricane Party will take place on Friday, Sept. 26 from 6-10 p.m.

Stinky's Bait Shack is busy planning for their first annual Stinky's Beach to Bay, Grand Slam Fishing Tournament coming up Oct. 4 through Nov 15, 2014. To kick off the tournament, Stinky's Oyster Festival will be held next door at Stinky's Fish Camp on October 4 from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
