Dune Allen is a place where lake and beach unite. Dune Allen surrounds Lake Allen and Oyster Lake, two of our rare coastal dune lakes, which are unique to this part of the world. SoWal’s coastal dune lakes are so rare that they are only found in the Beaches of South Walton and remote portions of Africa and Australia.
SoWal locals love the off season at Stinky's Fish Camp in Dune Allen Beach! It's time to get out and enjoy some of the best live music right here at Stinky's every week. Weekly performances will take place Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Although the Kindness Pet Hospital has been in business for more than 16 years now, the Dune Allen veterinary clinic is now owned and operated by Dr. Mary Connor. She grew up in Louisiana and her family vacationed yearly in nearby Navarre. Her taste for the beach developed during those family vacations, and she knew early on that she would do all she could to make the beach more than just a summer stay.
In 1958 there was only one house resting on the south side of Scenic 30A on Dune Allen Beach - only one. Bo Rentrop and her late husband Billy Rentrop were there, and Bo remembers that single house very well.
Stinky's Bait Shack is busy planning for their first annual Stinky's Beach to Bay, Grand Slam Fishing Tournament coming up Oct. 4 through Nov 15, 2014. To kick off the tournament, Stinky's Oyster Festival will be held next door at Stinky's Fish Camp on October 4 from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Celebration Hall will host the 5th Annual Blind Wine event , a unique blind wine tasting competition presented by the Young Professionals at The Beach organization. Blind Wine, one of the organization’s signature events, will take place on Oct. 9 from 6:30 – 9:00 pm.
There’s always a party going on at Stinky’s Fish Camp, and during Mardi Gras it only gets better. This year’s celebration combines Stinky’s awesome weekly music with a crawfish boil and a Fat Tuesday party that you won’t want to miss. So come on out to Stinky’s and laissez les bons temps rouler!

The Bait Shack provides bait for surf and bay fishing, as well as beach gear and tackle. It’s the only place in town for live or dead bait open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. You can even enjoy a cold beer and a snack while you're there.
