Already a popular choice for wine-enthusiasts, Fish Out of Water hosts regular wine tastings and events showcasing some of the nation’s top wine producers and distributors. And their temperature and humidity controlled, glass-encased cellar pulls double duty as a private dining room, where guests can sit among walls of horizontal bottles just waiting to be uncorked.     

Fresh Gulf fish and locally sourced meats, combined with an eclectic approach to traditional ways of preparing and serving food, translate into a unique culinary experience for guests at the four-star restaurant. 
Breakfast at Fish Out of Water comes complete with panoramic Gulf views and  mimosas. There are few things more satisfying in life than the simplicity of a Traditional Southern Breakfast: two eggs over easy, the smell of Applewood smoked bacon, and buttery grits done just right so they have the consistency of batter and the flavor of love. Homemade buttermilk biscuits act as a soaking agent for runny yolks, and the meal as a whole has enough fuel to power you through your day.     

Dinner at Fish Out of Water is a special way to end your day with a menu that plays on traditional Southern cooking. Snack on Foie Gras Grilled Apples until your entree arrives in all its glory. Iconic Gulf Red Snapper with Butternut Squash Coulis and Creole Black Eye Pea- Conecuh Sausage Ragout defines food on the Gulf Coast, where we blend influences from soul food to seafood. 
Chicken with Bacon Braised Collard Greens and Creamy Gayla Grits keep with the tradition of excellence. While grilled choice steaks and decadent desserts the likes of enigmatic souffles and NOLA Bananas Foster round out the dinner menu. 
The lounge, bar and sunset deck offer specialty cocktails, wines, and an assortment of local seafood. Experience the casual-chic atmosphere of the lounge, while enjoying the view with friends and family.

Fish Out of Water is open daily for breakfast and dinner and offers a late night happy hour. The Gulf front restaurant is located on the second floor at WaterColor Inn and Resort at 34 Goldenrod Circle in WaterColor. Breakfast is served daily from 8-11 am and dinner is served Tuesday-Saturday from 5-9 pm. Kids eat free from 5-5:30 pm.
