South Walton is a strong and proud community, and our proud purpose at SoWal.com is to foster community growth. We are blessed to have so many great groups and organizations, and we enjoy supporting all of them. You can help through membership, cash contributions, volunteering, or even by sharing their achievements with others in the community and beyond.
Here is a SoWal List of just some of our great groups.
Committed to its long-range vision of building itself into a world-class regional theatre company, the REP’s immediate mission is to provide high-quality, professional theatre to audiences of all ages. They present programs and productions that make an essential and lasting contribution to the quality of life in the area. They need the community’s support and accept pledges at every level, which means you can be a member for as little as $5 a month.
SNS strives to provide all students with an opportunity to realize their full potential in a setting that is safe, orderly, and small enough that students feel recognized and nurtured. SNS is a model charter school that raises funds through the highly successful, annual Seaside Half Marathon & 5K, and other great events.
30A Radio, WTHA, was established to serve the community as a local source for news, information and entertainment, and provide educational opportunities for students attending The Seaside Neighborhood School.
CVHN seeks to enhance the lives of uninsured and under insured school-aged children by facilitating free, immediate access to medical, dental, and mental health care.
The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) is a local arts agency that supports the arts through leadership, advocacy, funding, programs and education. The vision of the CAA is to be the catalyst for Walton County's growth as a destination for cultural and artistic excellence through which lives are enriched, economy is stimulated and community is strengthened.
CCA Florida is a statewide, nonprofit marine conservation organization. Our local South Walton chapter is a group of individuals who believe in conserving and protecting Florida's marine fishery resources. You may know them as the group that sponsors the Grayton Beach Kid's Fishing Tournament each year.
An independent, non-profit organization, which advocates the general welfare and humane treatment of animals by providing shelter, prevention of pet overpopulation, and adoption services. Located down a winding gravel road on a picturesque, 10-acre farm in Freeport, Florida., once homeless, lost and abused animals run and play in sun-soaked pastures, swim in cool, clean ponds, relax on breezy screened porches and graze in lush, green fields.
Supporting victims of domestic violence by providing shelter, intervention, and primary prevention programs to the community through education, awareness, and advocacy.
Sinfonia Gulf Coast is committed to entertaining, educating and inspiring the community through imaginative and innovative musical programming. Their goal is to enrich and expand the traditional orchestral experience through unique artistic disciplines and collaborations, enhancing Northwest Florida's cultural vitality.
The South Walton Community Council is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, protecting and enhancing the quality of life and the unique natural environment in South Walton County. Founded in 1995, SWCC is a nonpartisan coalition of several hundred residents, property owners, employees, neighborhoods and business owners working together toward these goals. Through educational programs and other activities, SWCC helps to preserve South Walton's natural assets: Beaches, dunes, coastal dune lakes, flood plains, wetlands, forests and native vegetation.
