15 richest members of congress

The Richest Members of the US Congress - Slideshows - CNBC.com not worried about raises, or much of anything

Silver spoons in Congress equal higher taxes for Joe the Plumber.

That was interesting, thanks for sharing. I figured before looking there would be more Republicans but I was wrong, 9 Democrats and 6 Republicans.

2 Representatives from Florida made the list. Rep. Alan Grayson and Rep. Vernon Buchanan. It's interesting to see where they stand on certain issues, especially when they come from a position of wealth. Quite often, unless it was inherited, you don't get wealthy by not stepping on some toes up the ladder.

I was happy to see Buchanan's position on oil drilling. From his web site:

Off-shore Drilling
I support environmentally safe domestic drilling as part of a balanced policy to meet our energy needs. We should be drilling now in places such as the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, which holds the single largest deposit of oil in the entire United States. Drilling off the eastern Gulf of Mexico would threaten our natural resources and jeopardize our tourism-based economy.

I couldn't find anything on Grayson's site.
