Billabong Grand Boulevard has teamed up with Ride On Surf School to present the first annual Billabong Grom Comp to be held at Pompano Joes Beach Park May 16th. First heat goes in the water at 9am with 3 divisions; Groms 12 and under, Mini groms 10 and under, Super groms 8 and under. Any experience level accepted with push-in assistance in all divisions. Come on out folks and sign your kid up or just come to hang out, This is a great event for the support of our local youth and beach culture. Billabong is a major player in the surfing industry so this will be top notch!

What an amazing turn out for the 1st annual Billabong Grom Comp. The waves and weather were absolutely perfect the whole time for the 48 groms who participated in the event. Billabong Destin and Ride On Surf School would like to personally thank all of the volunteer help that was on hand as well as the sponsors who made all of this possible. We knocked it out of the park!! We are already thinking about another grom comp for sometime in August/September 2009 so we'll keep you posted......

Hi, do you know if you will be having another surf comp in August? We will be coming down the first week of August and my son is interested. If not, we will be signing up again for surf school. He has participated before in your surf school and loved it.
Let us know if this surf comp will be held during the week of Aug1-Aug 8.
