They have had an amp go out, and are in the process of getting:clap_1: it fixed soon. Once the amp is fixed and the antenna is moved to the tower at 100' they should be heard loud and clear from the east end of 30-a to the west end. Hang in there, once it is all done this will be the best community radio around!

107.1 WTHA LPFM is a program of the Seaside Neighborhood School, who owns the license. LPFM denotes that the station can transmit a maximum of 100 broadcast watts. It is located in the same building as fusion art glass, on the second floor in the back.

the issue with currently weak signal, is the new lyceum building. it is in the way of what was our STL(Station to Transmitter Link), so the signal can barely be heard past the perimeter(sp?) of seaside. we will be moving to the st. joe tower behind publix soon, once the lawyers and insurance people have run out of red ink. then, at a maximum of 100' in the air, we will be be broadcasting far and wide.

you can listen on-line at www.30aradio.org although, currently you will most likely be listening to our hardest working DJ, Otto. as i said before, we need DJ's

Obviously, John R needs to post the rules which I saw posted in the radio station. 30gAy, I am not sure your suggestion will fit the current format, but maybe if you tone it down slightly (like Queer Eye), you could get away with some of your idea.

there was some requirement that the programming being suitable for middle-school aged listeners at all times. Although, I remember being a middle-schooler and having many impure thoughts.

Queer Eye is about as gay as Chef Boyardee is Italian.

I might entertain the suggestion to tone down my Texas Chilli recipie if my 80 year old Aunt Talulah was coming over for dinner, but beyond that I feel that moderation is best left to....well moderates. You know what they say, "There's not much in the middle of the road but yellow stripes...and dead armadillos."

And so, sadly, I will have to scrap my plans for an on air broadcast of "Beat the Rick Santorum Pinata Contest', and lord knows the Trannies are going to be pissed 'cause they are all dolled up and ready to talk smack.

It would have boosted the rating, let me tell ya.....

I would have succeeded if it weren't for those meddling kids..............

I wanna do a show John...don't you think 30-A radio needs 2 hours of New Orleans music now and then? It would be a beautiful thing. I am qualified;I took a radio class for about a week at LSU. They call those tape things 'carts' and you are supposed to say "pot my mike up".
