Tuck pads never heard of them. But I have tried Depends. My mother in law was having problems, she was stubborn, wouldn't leave the house for months because she had to be near a loo, so I bought the damn Depends, drank a gallon of water, 2 cups of tea, and then soaked the hell out of the Depends. Left them on for another round. :funn: and left it in the bathroom wastebasket for her to see that they really worked. :floor:

Hubby put that one in the Mango pop up book as a classic. 😀

I have a little lady at the nursing home who rolls up to my door every day and says "you told me you were gonna get me some depends, now where are they?"

I never have told her that. So I say, "I didn't tell you that" and she says, "Well, then, kiss my ass!" and rolls away. :lol:

Bring her a pamper instead and bring the camera please? ! :lol:

I'll do that. I love her! She's kinda mean, and she talks terrible to all of us, but you can't help but love her. She also hoards sugar packets, kleenex and sweet n low. Every time the nurse aides make her bed, she pulls all the linens off in the floor...she's a trip!

You sound perfect for your job DD. Not everyone can handle older people and you do it with affection and a kind heart.

Thanks. It's kinda stressful though. Would like it much better if I didn't have to deal with corporate crap, crazy families, crazy doctors, etc. I grew up with my grandparents who both ended up in nursing homes back in the 70's. Swore I'd never set foot in another one.....famous last words. The residents are definitely the highlight of my day.....it's never a dull moment!

My grandfather and aunt were both in nursing homes. I've seen good and bad just like everything else. But I'd want someone I loved to be around people like you. It's nice to be enjoyed and not ignored or mistreated.

I think my kids are putting me on the bus when I get old and confused. Who knows where I'll end up, gotta love an adventure. 😀
