Hope you are having a wonderful "turning 21" week!
(I told you I would start your thread early!!

Click here for a happy birthday message, Potatovixen.I re-did your card, Potatovixen. Decided to teach myself a little Flash. Not good with artistic things, but this one is better than the other one which was an edit of one I did many years ago for someone else who turned 21.

i don't even remember turning 21 - must not have been too exciting for me....I don't either. Mr. BR and I got married when we were students at Tulane - I was 20, he was 24. We were just busy studying and trying to pay our bills when I turned 21. It also wasn't a big deal to turn 21 because the drinking age was 18 in NOLA then, so I had been legal for 3 years.
Yes, I had funn. No, I'm not hungover. Yes, I do have to work today. (And the next three days after that.)Smart girl!![]()
BB, I wasn't drinking that night we all went to 331. They marked my hands with big black X's to signify my underage-ness.
BR - I look forward to all my birthdays. To me it's like saying, "congratulations, you've survived another year!"![]()
My brother kept telling me I needed to go out and get drunk yesterday. His words: "Forget school! Have one of your friends drive you around and just drink until you pass out." I told him that alcohol isn't going to taste better to me just because I'm allowed to have it now. And then I had to remind him that last time he drank that much, he passed out under a tree, his friends painted his toenails black, and he broke his foot trying to walk home through the woods at midnight.

your daughter has a point - you look forward to 21 for so long, then in one day it's over....suddenly drinking doesn't hold the same appeal, at least it didn't to me...I hear ya.
BR - I look forward to all my birthdays. To me it's like saying, "congratulations, you've survived another year!"So true!
