SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL—AA Coastal Home Watch has earned accreditation for its Home Watch services from the National Home Watch Association. The NHWA was established in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada (www.nationalhomewatchassociation.org). Home Watch is a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues, which means that it is a service that “keeps an eye on things” at your vacation or primary home while you are not in residence. All principals of NHWA Accredited Member companies are background-checked, insured, and bonded.
Co-owner Austin Kerns, originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, attended Auburn University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance with minors in Marketing and Supply Chain. He moved in 2020, relocating to Blue Mountain Beach with his wife, Mary Claire Culpepper. With over a decade of experience in high-impact account management, Austin has worked closely with C-Suite executives. He earned multiple president’s clubs, industry awards, and recognition from Fortune 500 companies and major tech enterprises. While in Tennessee, Austin was a volunteer and board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters, mentoring and providing guidance on growing the charity.
Since relocating, Austin has extended his skills to the Home Watch industry. Starting with his parents’ house in WaterColor, his services have expanded to include homes of family and friends. His dedication has saved homeowners thousands of dollars and kept their properties in excellent condition.
Co-owner Austin McCormick is originally from Alpharetta, Georgia, but now calls Santa Rosa Beach home with his wife, Alexis Taylor. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Jacksonville State University. With over eight years of experience in account management, he has built a career focused on putting customers first—prioritizing relationships, trust, and clear communication. Austin’s journey into the Home Watch business started after seeing his parents deal with unreliable property management for their homes in 30A.
Both Austins saw the need for trustworthy, hands-on support for homeowners who aren’t always able to be at home. That’s when they decided to create a business built on dependability, communication, and peace of mind. Austin attends church and enjoys being part of the local community.
