If this keeps up, I'm going to start charging admission.

Guess it is actually, finally time to build a fence for our dogs.[/quote]

The pigs tend to dig a pretty big area not just a bunch of little holes. One armadillo can dig quite a few over the course of one night. As for the gators in the bay.... i have seen bunches of them, even some very big ones. I can remember one huge one they had to kill because the guy that tried to sell hot dogs at the 331 bridge had been feeding it. And a trapper tried to get another big one from under the McQuague (sic?) Bayou (E.Pt.Washinton Rd.) bridge but it just broke of all his lines. Pretty sure a "local" ended up getting that one. Have seen two rather large dead ones there also. One obviously shot and the other F&G told me probably died of old age because it was huge and the tail was still attached.

SN...I've seen it before. After a tropical storm, I has a 12' footer living under my dock. I think it got washed out of the river because of all the flooding. I wonder if that is the case with your gator????

Let's do a party at your house. Fried gator and BBQ. Me and Fuzzy can shoot them in the morning and get things ready. Let me know.

We are near the edge of the intracoastal waterway in Pt. Washington.

There is one HUGE gator we see regularly. He is at least 12', comes close to us on the dock, & is bigger than most kayaks & canoes coming through. Lots of smaller gators.
A snake so big it belongs in the movies swam to our lot last week.:yikes:

The only thing that tortures my mind are Scorpions. One in my mailbox, in the Crate & Barrel catalog. Two more in the Master Bathroom. Now I have to do a 24-point inspection to tinkle or get dressed. I'm sure my fear is bigger than their sting, but man they're ugly.

I get the mail with meat tongs, throw it on the ground and proudly stomp on it now.

We live on the edge of paradise surrounded by national forest, so it is beautiful to see mother nature at work (minus scorpions)! The dolphins, birds, sunsets and fishing are incredible.

Excellent idea.:floor:

You can see wild pig damage on the north side of 98 between 283 and 395- looks like the ground is all torn up in spots- where they have been rooting. I am more scared of these nasty pigs than I am of bears, bobcats, and alligators!

So I spent the afternoon down at the beach and got all relaxed and happy.

Then I just pulled into the driveway and this thread pops into my mind, so... I'm scouring the lots for these mean ol' pigs before I get out. Might as well check for big old Wally Gator too since he's been lingering in the reeds nearby. All clear. As I put my happy sand filled flipflops down on the cement, down from the tree a few feet away slithers a big dark snake and he's coming my way towards my little piggie toes.:yikes: WHY WHY WHY WHY. WHY.

I cannot identify him because for the next several minutes my body was suspended floating in air fumbling around to get the keys in the ignition.

Its 20 minutes later and I'm finally inside. Dont ask. There's a chance my neighbor was quite entertained at the expense of my pride.

My drink of choice is a nice pomegranate martini. (I tell myself the antioxidants counteract the impurities of the vodka. Pffft). Tonight I might just skip the glass and the juice, throw an icecube in my mouth and belly up to the vodka.

Love nature, but why do these guys insist on crossing the lines of my imaginary personal boundaries to scare the holy tomatoes out of me--- ALWAYS while the fiancee is out of town.

I'm ready for that BBQ guys! Let me at that grill.

Frogs. Frogs???!! Oh no. You're killing me SN! Whats the matter with frogs. I love frogs. I actually own one that has sunglasses, swings his hips and sings "You give me fever". He's funny as Yell.

Dont tell me there are some kind of super- human-eating freaky frogs here who will snatch me with their 20 foot tongues from my wonderful second story porch and kill me slowly with their skin eating acid venom! I know there are thousands of big loud frogs next to me, I am literally the last house on the edge of big ol' Mother Nature. They are mammoth in size. I quite enjoy them (CURRENTLY) and think they would do quite nicely at our BBQ perhaps.

I dare not inquire further, and yet I'm sure I'll be Googling this within the hour.:shark:

Its hard to say, coming from what I thought was a strong, tough, stubborn independent woman, but I humble myself now to say I am in need of PW 101!!

I have an important meeting scheduled for that time tomorrow, but dont you worry, I'm diligently working on my new PW patent-pending invention; its a beautiful compact umbrella with a multi-use carved handle that has mad-max stainless steel spikes, a gun barrel, taser, lasso, duct tape, and a galvanized steel spring loaded fly swatter that will make any potential violator of a PW inhabitant think twice about interfering with the owners right to quiet enjoyment of their property. Ok, just the walkway to the door & inside is all I'm askin.:creepy:

If this keeps up, I'm going to start charging admission.

Guess it is actually, finally time to build a fence for our dogs.
