Oh, No!!!! How can that happen?Seems like it must happen more than I realized. Ever since I mentioned it, I've had several people tell me of their own kids or friends of their kids who had the same thing happen. The doc says from the "dots" that he does have, and based on the fact that he even has one on his scalp, had he not been vaccinated, this would have been a horrible case.

OH, I am so sorry Percy. When my son got the chicken pox, I used Aveno Oatmeal bath to soothe him. He loved it, and would ask for his Oatmeal bath even after the pox were gone. Is he miserable? I hope not!!!!

No, he's really not. The blessing is that having them post-vac really does make the case mild. He has itching, but it's not all that bad.

i got them in 1st grade, this was waaaay before the vaccine. i had them so bad they were on the inside of my eyelids and all over my "private area" inside and out. i was miserable, and the ones that itched the most were the ones an oatmeal bath couldn't get too. i feel for pea 3...

Percy,
My daughter had them after being vaccinated -- a mild case. We felt it was probably a good thing because now she may have a much better chance of resisting them later in her life, since there is that uncertainty as to how long the immunization will remain effective.
Hope pea#3's don't get too itchy!

My son got them although he had the vaccination also. It was a mild case, and thankfully he had them during the winter like your son. Can you imagine how bad they would itch in the summer?😱
