Art gallery specializing in original works of art. The ideal candidate would be an extremely organized, poised and personable individual with an appreciation for art and some administrative experience able to perform a multitude of tasks. Responsibilities include greeting visitors answering phones; maintaining files, commissions, website sales listings, mailing list, packing, shipping as well as miscellaneous support as needed (sales, registrarial, exhibition openings, art fairs, etc). Professional demeanor and strong sales and communication skills a must, as this is the first person visitors have contact with when entering the gallery. Great opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in the many facets of working in a gallery.

I responded to this posting several times (both private message via sowal.com and to the email listed) and never received a response. Hopefully it was because they found someone.

More likely that they, like most business, would never consider hiring someone from an email or PM.
Go visit them in person, dressed like you actually want the job and show them what you have to offer.
