so like, we are sitting on the beach yesterday morning, and this dude from burke's beach service comes running OVER the dunes carrying an umbrella and 3 chairs and he sets them up. he then runs back up the dunes and a few minutes later runs back OVER the dunes carrying more crap. today he did the same thing. we just sat there with our mouths hanging open - i can't believe someone local who makes a living from the beach no less, has no more respect for the dunes...😱

Someone needs to call this beach service and tell them unless they want the sheriff after them, they'd better stop the dune hopping pronto. I'd have done it myself but when I googled the name I didn't come up with anything. :bang:

When I was a teen, I probably didn't know either. Inform him (nicely), & he'll probably appreciate learning about it! 😀

Call and complain.
Or write a letter to the editor.. I'm sure whoever "Burke" is, they won't like the negative publicity..

he's carrying a big metal pole to sink the umbrellas with - i would hate to get el-kabonged on my last few days of peace and quiet !😀

I do it all the time Audie. Politely tell him that it's against the law to walk on the dunes and that disturbing the sand makes them weak to storms in case he doesn't know better :shock: . If he's a jerk to you, let us know and we will all call his boss :pissed: .

i didn't see him today - believe me, i have no trouble getting on people ! i fear you wouldn't want mr audie as the beach patrol - he's too nice and wouldn't want to say anything for fear of hurting someone's feelings. not me !😀
