What kind of birthday do you prefer...Dinner at someone's home with friends and/or family or a meal at a nice restaurant? I like being at a home since I do not feel rushed and the funn can last.

I have two birthdays that stand out in my mind. One was spent sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. My birthday is in September, so the weather was glorious and the company was delightful. We sailed all day and then stayed in a wonderful B&B, had a laid back leisurely dinner with my hubby and friends.
Last year, I told my husband I wanted a week in SoWal. So thats what we did. We took our chairs, cooler and radio to the beach on the day. Watched a beautiful sunset while we listened to jazz on the radio. Then we went to dinner. I don't even remember if it was 331, Red Bar or where. Not that I didn't enjoy it. It was just laid back and relaxed.
I think the place for me doesn't matter. As long as I have the people that matter most with me. ;-)

I'm with y'all. Relaxed at home with friends and family. This year will be a little different. One of my granddaughters will be 2 on my birthday, so we are going to have a picnic in the park for our birthdays. She LOVES cake and ice cream so it will be all about that for her---and I get the joy of watching her turn 2!! :clap_1:

A good dinner at home with family and closest friends, and wine! 😀
But, my most memorable was my 40th - dinner out at Bloom's Cafe (on 30A) - what a party! then on to NYC for several days of fun and great food, just me and my best hubby.
