Just got back from a soggy week at Seagrove Beach. Fishing started out good on Sat and Sunday but then went south. I have fished the surf for many years and never have seen so many catfish. Hopefully some of you can tell me why they moved in, my guess was because of the storms. Also I fished under the 331 bridge one day and caught lots of schooling fish, they were long and skinny, they werent ladyfish, had a greenish upper body, any ideas about what they were. :idontno:

The catfish seem to show up when the water gets stirred up. I don't know why, but they seem to be less prevalent when the water is clear and more calm.
The schooling fish off the 331 bridge were probably Ladyfish. They have a greener back when they are in the bay. Some of them look like they have green algae or moss on their backs. The ones at the beach are more silver in color.
Sorry I missed you when you came by the store late in the week. I had some St. Croix stickers for you. Call us with your mailing address and we'll send them to you.
Best regards,

Thanks John, yep pretty miserable fishing trip, on the other side though we enjoyed going to see places that we never have time to visit. It rained at home everyday, rained all the way home Friday, rained Saturday and is raining again today. Will be back for Thanksgiving, maybe the weather will be better. Will call with my address.
