Today is my first day back, I am getting ready to leave. I am doing half days today and tomorrow. Just easing my way back into things.

Thanks everyone. I am doing OK. Losing Daddy was horrible. Yet the service for him was comforting. My nephew plays accostical guitar and my neice sings. They sang some of Daddy's favorite songs. That was very moving.

My son actually led the service. He's entering the seminary this fall, and mother asked him to do Daddy's funeral I thought it would be too hard for him since he was so close to his grandfather. But he did a great job. It was at times filled with laughter and other times sad of course. It was a wonderful trubute to Daddy to have his grandchildren take such pride in doing the service for him. We did have a reading of the lovely poem that Paula posted also. I think Daddy would have like it all.

I am a long way from normal, but I always was. 😀 I take comfort in Gods promises, my memories of Daddy, my family and my friends (this includes all of you) I'm hanging on tightly to the Lord and looking forward to fewer tears and a brighter day. Thanks for thinking of me.

The beach was wonderful John R's party was too much funn, Amore That Monday night was wonderful, enjoying the beach with Kurt & Tootsie,seeing my Nephew :wub: , Thurs. night at the Seabar, Moon rise, crab fest, birthday dinner...it was all just...sigh!!!:wub: ...I am looking forward to my return in June with my "little ones" in tow...not so little...teens!
I think you need a good dose of sun, sand and SoWal!! Any chance of getting down there in June??

So tempting. I had canceled my late May to early June trip when we got the intial bad news on Daddy. I wasn't sure that he'd need me here or that might be my last few days with him. I didn't want to miss any time, so I canceled. I may try to sneak down for a few days, but it will likely be October before I can get there. I REALLY need it though...funny how soothing it is there.
