OMG Y'all, I saw the thread title and it made me think of the crazy wild life that's runnin rampant in South Walton.......that would now be: wild horses, herd of cows, snakes galore, alligators frolicking in the surf, wild boar and now some chickens......I think I've left something out, too.

I think what you're doing sounds like a lot more funn!

Wow!!! got home at 1:AM ish too much funn. Didn't get stuck, but the machine was haintin' in certain areas. It would just STOP for no reason....at the same place each time.

Puppydogs leading the way....mostly swimming. Full moon, white sand, pure forest and a dwarf cypress dome that makes you feel like you are in disney......GOD....we are blessed to live here! Thank you Kitlit and (anonymous Sowaller that does not want to be named), Cristin, Jim and Swafia.......

NOTE: We ate at Jambones before the excursion and had the 2 lb nachos and a "beverage".....and I have to say the Mike, the new bartender is adorable, not to mention personable and a big flirt. Makes an old woman's heart feel good! Thank you Jambones for great food and great service. Time for bed............................................................

Not to mention wild women let loose in the state forest with a 6 wheeler.........on a full moon. With a loaded cooler. BobbySue was not game tonight, she hung out with Foley.

Is this really allowed in the state forest? Just curious. I always heard this called 4 wheeling (in trucks or on little 4 wheelers) in Kentucky and it was illegal on state land, so people did it on private property.

Edit: some people went 4 wheeling on state land and tore the heck out of it.

It's legal and I promise we pick up every scrap of garbage someone else leaves while we are out there. We stick to the trails. I will say, most of the people that use the trails do not abuse the privelage.

Thanks for clarifying- I was a little shocked! I have seen the damage caused by this activity- it really tears up the land. Thanks for sticking to the trails.

Muddin' doesn't necessarily mean you are tearing up the land. There are tons of roads throughout our state parks and plenty of opportunity for a 4X4 to get stuck. As with any outdoor endeavor....we should leave no trace! I encourage anyone with a suitable vehicle to go back into our woods and really find the peace that lives there. We are so blessed to have the gulf AND thousands of acres of undisturbed woodlands within a stones throw. Embrace it! Enjoy it! Respect it!

Well said.I've lived her for 35 years (since I was a kid) and we respect our community and the preservation of it. Unfortunately there will always be some idiot that ruins it for the rest of us because of they're carelessness. Jdarg....thank you for your concern, I would love to take you out there and show you what we do and let you see the beauty of it.
