Hugh Pickens writes "Google search anthropologist Dan Russell says that 90 percent of people in his studies don't know how to use CTRL/Command + F to find a word in a document or web page. 'I do these field studies and I can't tell you how many hours I've sat in somebody's house as they've read through a long document trying to find the result they're looking for,' says Russell, who has studied thousands of people on how they search for stuff. 'At the end I'll say to them, "Let me show one little trick here," and very often people will say, "I can't believe I've been wasting my life!"'

Good one. Never type www. or .com again - type the website name in the address bar and hit ctrl enter and presto it adds the rest.

There are many shortcuts which people don't seem to know about. Copy, cut, paste, enlarge, decrease, find, screen shot, specific screen shot (there is a company that charges money for that software and people actually buy it and brag about having it), bold, italics, underline, ©, ¢ (bet you didn't know there was a ¢ symbol), etc.
I use most of these routinely and always looking to learn other tricks in other programs like ps and ai.

CTRL/Command + FI think this one gets confusing for some imac users since there is both a command and a control button on macs

CTRL + scroll wheel enlarges or reduces screen size. or Ctrl and + or - keys.
Ctrl 0 back to normal.
Ctrl tab moves between browser tabs.

For those of old schoolers, we still call the command the "apple" key.
