Not going to matter much until November.
I am thankful there are now both Republican and Democrat candidates. If I understand this stupid state's election regulations, it means that at least two people will run in the November election. If this is wrong, please enlighten me. As I have said on more than one occasion, Rapunzel, local electons up to the state level is no place for party political action and is totally unnecessary and a detriment to good local government.
I don't think it will ever matter. November, December or January.

So, let me get this straight..........Just because Mr. Griffith is a state trooper and Sheriff Johnson was a trooper, they are the same? No differences? Your conclusions are unsupported and your mentality is unfortunate. Mr. Griffith should not be held responsible for Sheriff Johnson's shortcomings or inability to be an effective Sheriff.
I'm sure Mr. Griffith will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Calm down law dawg....it's just that Ralph has ruin the trooper's name here in Walton County for future trooper's trying to be elected. I hate it but that is what people in the communities are saying..."man that's what we need is another trooper". I know you can't relate one trooper to another but you can't make alot of these people see that. And just remember these are the same people who are going to the polls to vote in August. By the way, you never did answer my question on why he never made any rank. If you see your friend please get him to post a comment on here to answer the questions.
No calming needed. Sheriff Johnson has ruined his own name, not that of all state troopers everywhere. The fact that Sheriff Johnson was a state trooper has nothing to do with his ability, or lack thereof, to be a good leader. Don't lump everyone into one group!
