Too bad my NYC-based sister already booked her ticket for here for Christmas. Here's hoping that they get enough interest in the route to make it permanent. Great for the locals heading to the city, and it also makes a long weekend vacation to here more feasible for the richest metro area in America.
They're also added a 'permanent' daily non-stop to their Cincinnati hub. Which is nice because it lets you get to cities in the Northeast/Midwest without having to go through the hell that is Atlanta Hartsfield.

Is this a promotional thing to get people to NYC for shopping and New Year's? We certainly don't have enough New Yorkers living in the area to draw the demand otherwise, and I don't think they (a few sowallers excluded) know about our beaches (yet). Until the TDC and developments begin marketing to NYC, I don't think we will see this as a good test of likeliness of people to travel to the beach from NYC. However, I do think there are enough people in our area to fill seats to NYC for things like New Year's.
