:wave: From a former Athenian of 13 years!  Actually, the fam and I are headed that way for a visit after Christmas.  Haven't been up in a few years & going to be in Madison.

Well Madison is in MORGAN county, but Danielsville is in Madison County. Doesn't make sense, but whatever :)


Athenians unite!.. it's a great place really. IF all the cool folks from athens would come down here (and leave the crack-smokers and frat boys) then it would be utopia :D

There's a bunch of 'em. One near Lexington (Oglethorpe County) and there's one in Watkinsville (Oconee Co.) and there's one in Carnesville that is either Franklin or Madison Co, I can't remember which side of the line it's on. Really pretty stuff though. There's also one back in Whitehall Forest in Athens, but the big "No Trespassing" signs slow down less hearty adventurers than I :rolling:. 

So anyhow.. when exactly did the local economy fall to ****? I thought it was bad up there so I came back here only to find it's far worse, and beer is twice as expensive.

Totally! Athens really is a wonderful place. I still have good friends there & will have to make the run to Earth Fare while I'm near it.
 
We're headed to [B]the real Buckhead[/B] in Morgan County. The parents are on Lake Oconee. The bridge/park is northeast of Athens. I will be about 30 miles south of Athens.

Totally! Athens really is a wonderful place. I still have good friends there &amp; will have to make the run to Earth Fare while I&#039;m near it.

It would be nice! The "real" buckhead is where they have the Day Celebration.. that is a FANTASTIC Music Festival. It's like the poor man's Bonnaroo. :) Good stuff. 10,000 dirty folks in tents fueled only by good tunes and PBR. (sigh) someone needs to organize something like that in SoWal! 


And YES. Bring me a few cases, wouldja? :D
